Daycare/Family First Aid Seminars
The following CHILD EMERGENCY WORKSHOPS were designed for daycare professionals, babysitters, teachers and parents. All seminars include a reference book and either First aid and/ or CPR certification.
1. Standard Child First Aid – 13 hours
Under the New Bill 10, Child Care and Early Years Act, all daycare staff must be trained at the Standard First-aid level with infant and Child CPR, valid for 3 years.
We offer the training at your location in a full and half day, evening or weekend format, or in our public classes. Each person receives a reference book and two certifications (valid for 3 years). We tailor this for the daycare professional. Minimum group required for on site training.
2. Standard First-Aid CPR C Refresher
(1 day or two evenings)
Under Bill 10, Child Care and Early Years Act, all daycare staff must be trained at the Standard First-aid level with Child CPR C, valid for 3 years. For those staff that completed the two day Standard level training within the past 3 years and have not expired, we can arrange a one day or two evenings refresher on site for a minimum group or reserve a spot in our public classes. This provides a new Standard first-aid and CPR C certificate. Call for details.
3. Child CPR C – 3 hrs.
This certification course meets the current guidelines of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). The main focus of this seminar is CPR for infants, children and adult CPR . We also review choking rescue and allergic reaction management. Reference book and CPR certificate included on completion.
4. Child Emergency First Aid/CPR – 6.5 hrs.
The Emergency level first-aid certification is valid for 3 years and includes CPR level C (infant and child and adult). Ideal for babysitters, camp counsellors and parents.
5. Home Courses – New parents
So, you’ve just had or are expecting a baby? Congratulations!
For over 38 years, we have been offering our unique 3 hour Child Emergency Home Workshop to new and expectant families. We suggest you invite family, relatives with kids, babysitters, grandparents and nannies.
This 3 hour workshop is offered evenings and weekends and we require a minimum of 10 people.
